Name: Joseph Mark Trohman
Birthday: September 1, 1984
Orgin: Hollywood, Florida
FOB Role(s): Lead guitarist
Trohman grew up in South Russell, east of Cleveland, Ohio. He lived there for 8 years, playing trombone in the school band until he picked up guitar later in his elementary school years. He moved to a suburb of Chicago around 12 years old. He attended Washburne Junior High, where he participated in various bands for fun. After Washburne, he attended New Trier Township High School. During his highschool years he was part of an audio visual club that made home movies, as well as briefly playing bass in Arma Angelus with Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz on vocals.
Fall Out Boy
Trohman approached fellow Chicago musician and friend Pete Wentz about starting a pop punk band, with more emphasis on positivity, and less emphasis on the negatives that the hardcore scene seemed to draw. Wentz agreed. Trohman then met Patrick Stump at a Border's bookstore, whom Trohman overheard talking about a band of mutual interest. Stump was recruited as a drummer but ended up as the singer. They later recruited friend Andy Hurley on drums.
Trohman, with the rest of his band, is currently in the process of recording a new record, slated for release in early 2007. He also is fully endorsed by Washburn Guitars and has a line of his own guitars coming out in the future.
